About Me

My name is Luke, and I'm grateful you're taking the time to learn a little about me.

I was born and raised in Fresno and have proudly called California's Central Valley home for the past 27 years. My wife, Dasha, and I are raising our 1-year-old daughter, Emerson, here in Clovis, and they are my greatest blessing.

This photo captures just a small glimpse of our current season of life. Learning to be a father for the first time while balancing the responsibilities of being a husband and business owner has been one of the greatest privileges of my life. My faith in Jesus Christ is at the center of everything I do. I truly believe none of this would be possible without the Lord's guidance, provision, and grace, and I am deeply grateful for the opportunities He has given me.

My story in photography began in 2016. I was heading into my senior year of high school while working alongside my parents at their local real estate brokerage. One day my dad handed me his camera and asked me to photograph one of their listings. That simple opportunity sparked a passion that would eventually grow into both LMENT Real Estate Photography and Luke Mitchell Photography.

After graduating from high school—and spending a brief time at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo—I earned my California real estate license and joined my parents' brokerage as a Realtor. For nearly five years, I sold real estate while completing my degree at Fresno State. During that time, I continued photographing homes for agents in our office, but perhaps even more valuable was the experience I gained working alongside my parents, builders, and fellow real estate professionals. Those years gave me a deep understanding of how quality photography directly impacts marketing, branding, and sales.

After graduating from Fresno State in 2020, I began transitioning away from full-time real estate sales. In the fall of 2021, I officially launched LMENT Real Estate Photography, a real estate media company serving the Central Valley. Since then, I've photographed more than 1,000 properties and have been fortunate to build lasting relationships with many of the region's top Realtors, builders, and developers.

As my work evolved, I found myself increasingly drawn toward architectural and commercial photography. Today, that work represents the majority of my business. It has given me the opportunity to partner with architects, home builders, hospitality brands, designers, construction companies, and businesses that take tremendous pride in what they create.

That's why I launched Luke Mitchell Photography—a brand dedicated exclusively to serving architectural and commercial clients with imagery that showcases craftsmanship, communicates quality, and strengthens their marketing.

Running a business has taught me that success is built on integrity, consistency, and serving people well. Those values influence every client relationship I have. My goal isn't simply to complete a project—it's to become a trusted creative partner that businesses can confidently rely on for years to come.
